If you're voting today, head to your assigned precinct, not an early voting site. Polls open statewide at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m., and anyone in line at 7 p.m. gets to vote. Election director Conway Belangia expects lines early in the morning and later in the evening. We suggest checking your precinct at scvotes.gov first, since locations shift between cycles.
Bring a photo ID, such as a South Carolina driver's license, DMV ID card, passport or military ID. Forgot it? You can cast a provisional ballot after signing an affidavit citing a reasonable impediment.
